About Todd

Todd Buonopane is an actor, singer, director, story-teller, cabaret artist, host, teacher & musical theater nerd! 

He has starred in four Broadway shows: ...Spelling Bee, Grease, Chicago and Cinderella.  On television, he has guest starred on many fan favorites such as Grey’s Anatomy and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and was featured as one of 30 Rock's most memorable recurring characters: Jeffrey Weinerslav. 

Todd has traveled the U.S. with The Play That Goes Wrong, Chicago, and Godspell. (With Chicago, he’s taken his Amos to Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Dubai) Regionally, he has performed at the Alliance, The Old Globe, the Asolo, Goodspeed, Maine State, the 5th Avenue, the Signature, the Pasadena Playhouse, Barrington Stage, Papermill and the MUNY.

As a director, Todd has staged THE PROM at The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (starring Vicki Lewis). He has also directed and choreographed URINETOWN, LEGALLY BLONDE and SPELLING BEE for various college musical theatre programs.

Todd is a renowned cabaret artistic and has performed in all the great cabaret spaces of New York City, Los Angeles and Provincetown. His cabarets include Lying in the Driveway & Other Stories, All Washed Up, Songs That Made Us Gay, and Single & Loving It

Todd grew up in Andover, Massachusetts. (He is proud to the only one in his family without a Boston accent.) 

He received his BFA from The University Of Michigan's Musical Theatre Department.  He also spent seven summers of his youth at Stagedoor Manor.

As a teacher, he has given master classes all around the U.S. and teaches regularly at The University of Michigan and The New York Film Academy. A proud member of Equity and SAG-AFTRA, Todd also serves as a Councilor for Actors’ Equity Association.
